Participants will learn how to choose a career in IT that fits their interests and ability. They will learn about IT careers that do not require formal degrees and IT careers that do not require tech skills. Students will leave with tools to start training for these roles immediately. 

Participants will learn the basics of cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and the metaverse. They will also learn where these technologies intersect and what it means for their future. There will also be a section on other upcoming advances in tech that they may not have heard of yet. We'll end with a live virtual tour through the metaverse.

Participants will learn skills that help them in the job market and beyond. In five segments, they will learn how to choose the proper attire, how to craft resumes with little experience, construct a 30 second elevator pitch, the STAR method for answering questions, and finish with mock interviews. 

Participants will learn how to transition from a college student's budget to a middle class salary.  Loans, credit, and investments will be discussed along with how to handle societal and familial pressure.

Participants will be introduced to notable Black inventors and inventions to celebrate Black History Month. They will leave with a better understanding of how African Americans have contributed to the technology industry.
